We Are
Larry Kahn and Jon Goldman, the founders
and principals of KG Radio have more than 35 years of combined experience
in syndicated radio.
• Larry Kahn’s radio career began in 1981. He spent ten years as
a talk radio producer and executive producer at two flagship Heritage
Radio stations: WRKO Boston and WOR New York. Most notably as the
producer for ‘The Gene Burns Program’ at both WRKO and WOR for eight
years.
In ’94, Larry joined Westwood One Radio as the Director of Talk
Programming. At WW1 Larry managed programming and affiliations for
many industry leading talk shows: Larry King, Jim Bohannon, G. Gordon
Liddy, Tom Leykis, David Brenner, Bruce William sand others.
In 2000, Larry became the General Manager of Winstar Radio, a medium-sized
radio syndication and advertising sales company. Winstar Radio’s
programming assets included a 24 hour sports network (SportsFan
Radio Network), 15 daily/weekly music programs and a full line-up
of morning show prep services.
Winstar Radio was sold to private investors 2001. Larry remained
with the company until late 2004 when he and Jon founded KG Radio.
• Jon Goldman has nearly 20 years experience in the radio business.
He was a co-founder of ‘SportsFan Radio Network’ in 1991. By the
mid 90’s ‘SFRN’ became the largest independent sport talk network
in the industry and competed directly with ESPN Radio.
Jon sold ‘SFRN’ to Winstar Radio and went to work for Winstar as
a Vice President for Business Development. Working closely together,
Jon and Larry spearheaded the growth of Winstar Radio’s programming
portfolio, adding several profitable programs to the line-up.
A Brief History of the Company
Radio KG was founded in 4Q/04 by Larry Kahn and Jon Goldman. KG
started off with one weekly show and a four hour special (on the
life of John Lennon on his 64th birthday). All programs are nationally syndicated and
all advertising time in the programs is sold by Dial-Global Communications.
